The story of the East Texas Ghost Dog comes from around the town of Vivian, which sounds rather
contradicting I know. Not far from Vivian is Lake Stratford and which the grave of Benjamin Franklin Brown is
buried.  His tombstone states Brown was hung as an abolitionist sometime in the 1800's.  Supposedly Brown
had a large wolf-like dog and the dog continues to guard his master's grave from the dead on moonlit nights.
